Our Founding Constitution In Danger

This is not new news, but this article might have some new bits of information within.

For those that have watched Glenn Beck, the progressives are pushing to alter the Constitution to incorporate a Second Bill of Rights. These are not the unalienable, nature’s God given rights – but ones “determined” by people (notice I am not even saying ‘government’ at this point). This is dangerous beyond imagination. For rights determined by man, can be later taken away, by man. And that, rings the death knell.

It is vital they be named.

Cass Sunstein, Lisa Brown, Eric Holder – all (and likely far more) operate within the Soros-funded American Constitution Society. Ring a bell?

If progressives manage to bring this about, it will be the beginning of the end.

For they know not what they do.

Stand up and be counted. Never give up, never give in. Remember November 2012. Now, more than ever.

UPDATEx2: In-State Tuition Petition List Released

Marylanders,

According to Delegate Mike Smigiel, CASA de MD likely already has the petition list.

And not only that, there are paid college students ($12/hour) that are instructed to shadow signing locations and will be handing out flyers in an attempt to intimidate potential signers.

Be sure to read Delegate Smigiel’s blog link for all of his details, including what that flier looks like.

Last point, regardless of how this may distress you, prepare yourself for possible intimidation by phone from anyone in relation to this referendum attempt.

While it is against the law in this state to electronically record a telephone conversation without the other party’s permission, I recommend that you keep a pen and pad of paper by the phone just in case. If you get such a call, write down the date & time of the call along with as much detail you can remember of what has been said. In effect, a diary. This may become very, very important.

This has happened before, in Wisconsin, not too long ago.

UPDATE: As of 11 hours ago, Delegate Neil Parrott indicated on Facebook that the SBE (State Board of Elections) had changed their mind – “that they would make the copies of the petitions and not release petitions to Casa. They released names and addresses of all petition signers accepted and rejected on Thursday to Casa and have sent us a copy of that information as well.” It would appear, from this reading that the only change made was who and where the copies would be made. According to others, CASA, Del. SMigiel, Del. Parrott received electronic copies of the accepted and rejected lists through the US mail. The list of rejected was made available online as a PDF file – but that list, as I recall, had no addresses. So my question is, does the list of accepted contain the addresses? Phone numbers?

I would really like to know more about the details of that specific list. Anybody have an aanswer to that?

UPDATEx2: Wow! 132,000 petitions delivered to State Board of Elections. Historic. Fantastic job of the people and for the people. Congratulations to those who worked to the bone for this.

One last thing to say, “We won’t get out of the way. We are here to stay. The Rule of Law must be obeyed.”

UPDATE: In-State Tuition Hijinks By SBE and Casa de MD

Word is that the State Board of Elections has allowed Casa de Maryland to take originals of petitions with signatures to copy them at Kinko’s.

And when organizers, to get this to referendum, ask to be present at Kinko’s – they are told no. By the State Board of Elections.

Now isn’t that just special and smacks of ill will towards everyone working according to the rules of obtaining voter signatures.

A 45 News article and video.

And we are now getting word that volunteers are being chased off of taxpayer paid, government/public property by police and MVA employees and even CASA de MD protesters. If you have a Facebook account, go to it and start reading.

History in the making.

It also sounds it is way past time for a complete regime change here in The Old Line State.

Eyes Over Arizona has a little more on this topic.

If you can help towards convincing the State Board of Elections to change their minds, here’s how:

Please email (over this weekend) Linda Lamone and Mary Wagner of the SBE, expressing your concerns about them handing over official documents to Casa de Maryland. Follow the email up with phone calls first thing Monday morning. We must flood their office, inboxes, and phone lines.

Phone: 410-269-2840 or 800-222-8683

Email: info@elections.state.md.us

Fax:
410-974-2019
410-974-5415
410-974-5126

Address: 151 West Street, suite 200, Annapolis

If you can drive down there and protest in person, please do so. We must demand that they conduct a proper handling of this PIA request by CASA. The chain of custody of the petition forms must not be violated.

They are handing over the only official, original copy of the petition forms to the opponent of the petition effort, while denying the petition sponsor the right to be present while CASA makes photocopies.

We need to spread the word: pass on to your email contact lists, blog about it, call in to radio shows about it, make online comment posts to articles about it, make posts on Facebook about it. ALL HANDS ON DECK!

UPDATE: And more from Hassan Giordano. Also, Ann Miller’s Examiner page.
