Well, you know how it goes.
And now, so does Frances Fox Piven. Apparently, there were Tea Party like-minded folk in the audience.
Heh. Good for them. And there’s video at the Hot Air link. Sweet.

The EPA is about to get medieval on us. Or, send us back in time to that age of darkness.
IER Identifies Coal Fired Power Plants Likely to Close as Result of EPA Regulations
The United States has the world’s largest coal resources. In fact we have 50 percent more coal than Russia, the country with the next largest reserves. But coal use in the United States is under assault.
Soon, the only use left for coal will be placing it in EPA’s Christmas stocking.
Thank the Grinch, folks, er, Obama.

They made no mention of the Solyndra execs being questioned during their Friday evening newcasts.
I guess the media folk figured that “invoking the 5th Amendment” at each question posed to those Solyndra execs wasn’t newsworthy. So where did that $545M of our tax money wind up?????? I would think that in itself would be a plenty newswortthy question to warrant some discussion.
Here is some more on this, at Hotairpundit.

By enacting Patent Law changes that will ultimately hurt our country, our innovators.
The first paragraph –
On Sept. 16, at a ceremony involving some fanfare, President Obama signed the ironically-styled America Invents Act into law. While posed as an effort to “modernize” U.S. patent law by “harmonizing it with the rest of the world,” the bill actually represents an effort by multinational and foreign corporations to crush America’s vital culture of independent inventors.
Can you say – unConstitutional?

And naturally, and succinctly, Hot Air has an excellent summary as well as additional meat (er, links) to tell us about Solyndra’s grant, um, winnings.
You know, I’ve mentioned it before – to others and elsewhere – that this administration headed by Obama, has what I call the Un-Midas Touch. Damned if I’d gamble with these folks.
How many times has the White House handed over lots of our tax money to companies that later failed? Anybody keeping track?
Well, there’s the Caterpillar company, wasn’t that first? But now, with the current one – meaning Solyndra – here we have the FBI investigating the company & the home of its CEO. We hear rumblings how the CEO is such a good contributor to the Obama campaign.
But, oh wait, then why would the FBI raid Gibson and take product – when THAT CEO wasn’t a contributor (yet Gibson’s competition is)????
Perspective, I guess. Not sure I care for 1600’s view on legalities, though. Especially when the prior administration shelved the notion of giving to Solyndra. Yet Obama and company decided not to follow that road correctly.
Amazing.
Remember November 2012.

And lose all of the confidence from the entire voting public in this country?
(Yeah, I know. Oversimplifying. But somehow, I expect he does not care.)
You raise new regulations (again) that will result in the loss of 500 jobs in Texas.
You raise taxes, and eliminate deductions, on the very people that are the backbone of job creation in this country.
You say a jobs bill is paid for, yet expect to raise $400B more in taxes.
And, somehow, nobody seemed to notice that Congress raised the debt ceiling last Thursday yet again, by $500B. Suspiciously, this figure is remarkably close to the amount the POTUS is claiming his “immediately pass this bill” is already “paid for.”
How can anyone believe this POTUS any more?

Today GE announced that it was going to gut its offshore wind-power plans.
h/t GatewayPundit
Is this why GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt was hired by the POTUS, to create jobs and take them away???
I don’t think so, but it sure looks that way now doesn’t it?
In August there were 0 jobs made, or gained, or uh, nothing changed since July on the jobs front. What’s going to happen now, Wall Street? Particularly since this news comes on a weekend?

The lunch itself was Jay Carney.
Excellent job, Jake. Wanna run for President? We could really use a guy like you.
The transcript is here. A fantastic read.

Let Hoffa (and the rest of the Progessive Leftists) know you won’t be intimidated.
Wear a T-Shirt pronouncing you are a:
Proud, Barbarian, SOB, Hobbit, Patriot !!!!!!
That’s what they said, right? So let’s make that real clear.

This link should take you to the shirts spoken above.

No, really. According to Hoffa, at the Labor Day rally, it’s the union members. He says they are going to “get those SOBs.”
Well, guess what? I work for a living, too. And I’d bet good money conservatives do, too. Whether we are union members or not, is irrelevant.
A call to arms? Take who out?
It’s time to ask yourself, what version of America do you love and want for your children and theirs … and what are you prepared to do towards that end?
The Tea Party is not the enemy. Conservatism is not the enemy.
So who, exactly, is the enemy? One mnajor clue.
They lie to us.
More to the point, not all of us recognize that for what it is.
They want to control us.
I thought most of us love our independence, control of our lives, our choice in our futures/jobs/faith/love. Am I wrong? I don’t believe so. And neither does Rush Limbaugh.
