Administration Getting Into The Water

This can’t be good. An Executive Order, no less.

More from Michelle Malkin on this.

EPA Thinks Wood Same As Coal

What the dickens are they using for grey matter? Grey water?

Idiots all.

UPDATEx2: Not One Thin Dime

For the private sector. Anybody notice that?

“Lawmakers convened today for anticipated approval of a Senate-passed bill aimed at preventing thousands of layoffs of teachers and other government employees.”

UPDATE:
And to add insult to injury, the Dems seem to think its okay to allow public employee unions to run ads against the GOP using funds from that bailout.

I’d say that’s criminal.

UPDDATEx2:
And now, no soup for you.
“But the bill also requires that $12 billion be stripped from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps, to help fund the new bill …”

Daily soap operas can’t do better than the real issues of the day.

A Few Steps An Idiot Makes

“It’s not the content of their activity – that being the national anthem – it’s the location,” he said. “A couple steps and it would have been no problem whatsoever.”

So said Sgt. David Schlosser. “The United States Park Police is absolutely content-neutral when it comes to any sort of demonstrations in these areas.”

Wow. So how was this group of high school students supposed to know that? How was anyone supposed to know that?

Since when is speech, or singing, supposed to be curtailed when attempting to display patriotism?

The Costs Of A Job

As explained by Michael P. Fleischer in his article, “Why I’m Not Hiring.”
Found in the Wall Street Journal, its Opinion Journal section.

Good paper. Good information. Which is why I think anyone interested in our current state of economic affairs should read this particular piece to better understand how much it costs a company to keep an employee.

And why the given climate is making it more difficult to hire and easier to choose to not hire.

Keep an open mind. These details you perhaps don’t even know about.
After reading it, ask yourself why (some? most?) high schools do not teach basic economics. Perhaps some do, the one I attended certainly did not.

So When Are We Talking Real Money?

Another $26B promissory note.

I don’t know, how about both sides (Senate and House) go on summer break at the same time?

Good Lord.

A Very Important Question

And this November 2nd (even September 14th for us in Maryland) will tell us if we have a chance at making corrections.

Here’s the question: Is the American Middle Class Disappearing?

I encourage you to read the post via the above link. The statistics are simple enough to give us all the sense of why it is extremely important to turn back recent legislation that will raise our expenses and taxes to an intolerable level.

We think it’s bad now? We do NOT want to wait any longer, or our future is not just doubtful – it will be painful.

Remember November

Because Donald Berwick (and who else in our Government?) would prefer you did not.

So he can emulate UK’s NHS to save us money.

Your life, or someone’s you love, depends on it.

UPDATED: Bypass the Electoral College??

Massachusetts wants to.
And, so far, five other states did. (Guess who was first?)

Good idea?? You know what this means don’t you?

It would mean that their states’ electoral votes may be awarded to a candidate who did not win statewide.

Still think it’s a good idea? I do not.

Here’s the status so far, state-by-state.

UPDATE: Here is a very good post on the Electoral College subject.

Oops. Looks like Massachusetts passed it.

Now I have a question for the entire country. In view of this seeming trend, how would states that DO NOT have such high density populations, like these that do have – New York, California and others, feel when the overriding concern for becoming President means the only places they have to go are the major cities? Still think your vote has the same weight?

Quote –

“What we are submitting is the idea that the president should be selected by the majority of people in the United States of America,” Senator James B. Eldridge, an Acton Democrat, said before the Senate voted to enact the bill.

Under the new bill, he said, “Every vote will be of the same weight across the country.”

Mark my words, it is a facade, people. Wake up!
