UPDATE: Our Security Awareness Needs Help

Why aren’t we getting it?

Apparently there are egos that are too big to get through a door, unless their feelings are hurt when flaws in such security systems are exposed.

Gee, I always am grateful when people I work with can point out things that I can improve upon or correct. It makes for a better product and helps our customers.

What’s the problem with that DHS? Can’t you help us instead of trying to herd us?

See this news article (with video) about an airline pilot, in California. He is letting us know – the flying public – what is important for all of us to know. All this pilot wants is the job to be done right, done well.

You know what? So do the rest of us.

UPDATE: I am not the only one that thinks like this, apparently.

A World Without Sanity

Judge Rules Illegal Immigrants Can Sue ICE For Rights Violations
Last Updated: Wed, 12/22/2010 – 4:17pm

A Clinton-appointed judge has given a group of illegal immigrants the green light to sue the U.S. government for violating their constitutional rights during the operation that led to their apprehension.
——-
Idiocy running rampant. Psst, Congress #112 – here’s a judge that definitely, most assuredly, needs replacement.

Rhode Island Atty Gen = Grinch

The Rhode Island state government, in the person of the Attorney General, who’s behind this program to destroy kids toy guns.

Feel safer now? Feel powerful now that you are manipulating kids, AG?

Can you just wrap yourself in the pathetic lapse of idiocy? Or, you did that already, yes? Yes. Looks like.

Sheesh. For Christmas yet. Tell me, AG, how much of taxpayer money did you waste on this effort to mess up children’s minds?
Come on, the voting taxpayers want to know.

UPDATEx3: Freedom to Communicate At Risk?

Otherwise referred to as “Net Neutrality.” Tell me, what is wrong with the internet now?
I mean, other than those areas that one could restrict (if you felt necesssary AND if you would purchase software to protect your kids from) ………

Well, tomorrow the FCC will attempt to regulate the internet. I suspect they didn’t care to read the letter from the U.S. Senate.

UPDATE: Here’s how the FCC decision to implement this “net neutrality” may cost us. Yeah, this definitely needs to be challenged in court. This administration’s goal is clearly intended to drain us of most, if not all, of our discretionary income.

UPDATEx2: Another look at additional problems with this forthcoming regulation and its side-effects by the Washington Post.
Here’s one paragraph that explains the intrusiveness:

Discouragingly, the FCC is intervening to regulate the Internet because it wants to, not because it needs to. Preserving the openness and freedom of the Internet is non-negotiable; it is a bedrock principle shared by all in the Internet economy. No government action is necessary to preserve it. Acting only on speculative concerns about network operators and contrary to a decade of industry practice, the FCC is moving forward aggressively without real evidence of systemic competitive harms to cure, markets to fix or consumers to help.

UPDATEx3: Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) explained on Hannity and her website how the FCC Internet Grab will be put right by the incoming GOP.
It can’t happen soon enough. What’s more, she did an excellent job in explaining the consequences of the FCC’s actions.

And an opinion at the Denver Post:

UPDATEx2: Idiocy Knows No Bounds

DHS Head Jammit Napolitano now claims a burning need to battle climate change as a security issue.

Who told her to jump out of the frying pan? Or, into it? What does temperature have to do with Homeland Security?
I mean, other than raising the heat under our collars????

Hint: Try collaring the bad guys and illegal aliens, Jammit.

UPDATE: What a load of crapola. I call BULL.

UPDATEx2: Apparently, Jammit just doesn’t get it. Her job that is. Here’s why – the family of slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry slammed DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano during the funeral of their son who was murdered while protecting the Arizona border, Tuesday evening Dec. 14, 2010. And Jammit’s response? Utterly despicable.

Barney Frank Does Not Believe in Gifts

Of the financial kind, as an inheritance – he claims the heirs didn’t work for, or deserve it.

How nice. Just in time to replace Scrooge with – himself.

Video at The Blaze. If you can stomach it.

Psst, hey, Barney – did you receive any “gifts” from Fannie and/or Freddie?????
Own up now.

Oh, one more thing, Barney.

The government didn’t “work for” any percentage of that “gift” – now did they?
So why should “the government” get any portion of a family inheritance?

All Your Food Are Belong To Us

Thanks to the Senate, passing SB 510 late night last night (Sunday).
(Can we kick them out now, instead of having to wait until January??)

They did this, after objecting to the fact he Senate passed the Food Safety and Modernization Act on Nov. 30 by a vote of 73-25. But the bill was later invalidated by a technical objection because it was a revenue-raising measure that did not originate in the House — Senate staff had failed to substitute the food safety language into a House-originated bill.

(Imagine that. I don’t recall they had an objection when they passed that tax bill – before sending it to the House. Will wonders never cease.)

Impact on small family farms, and the 10 biggest lies about this SB 510.

Here is the Bill itself – for your reading pleasure.

Oh, and these, too:

Not in the Spirit of the Season

That would be (at least) Nina Totenberg, analyst for National Public Radio (NPR), and Muslim immigrants in St. Peter, Minnesota (how ironic).

If they really don’t like Christmas, they don’t have to participate. But they shouldn’t have the power or authority to change it for the rest of us.

When, just when, are we going to put a stop to their nonsense?

Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!

Oh, and before I forget, Merry Christmas!

UPDATE: Christian Reservations

According to the Federal Reserve examiners that visited Perkins, Oklahoma and deemed a Bible verse of the day, crosses on the teller’s counter and buttons that say “Merry Christmas, God With Us.” were inappropriate.

Excuse me, but the Federal Reserve has not the authority to do this. At least, if they truly understood the First Amendment. It says:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

And last I heard, Federal Reserve, there is NO LAW telling you that you can do what you did to that bank.

UPDATE: Apparently, they got the message and let the bank put back their Christmas ornamentation. Never underestimate the social power of the internet. Explains why some want to regulate it. Oops. Did I say that out loud?

Merry Christmas Tea Party

Sen. Dingy Harry pulls the Omnibus Bill.
