New Deepwater Oil Reserves

In the Gulf. Question is, when oil is being extracted, will it be ours – or sold to some other country? And, how many resuscitated jobs will be developed?
So far, no answers to those questions yet. But the fascinating thing here is – this discovery was made as a result of recent work on an existing well that was halted over one year ago.

Imagine what our economy, jobs picture and fuel prices could have been – had it not been halted by this administration?

Reminiscent of Classic WKRP Episode

Turkeys don’t fly.

But Romney changed his mind about global warming, er, climate change. We don’t cause it. Whatever.

“They’re dropping to the ground like sacks of wet cement. One went through a windshield of a parked car!”

Video at the link. You never saw this on WKRP.

VP Calls Us Terrorists

And later, denies he said that word.

What do you say now, Joe? That this debt deal isn’t a deal? Or, is it? Does it depend on the definition of is? Or was?

Make up your mind, Joe. We are watching. And remembering. Certainly until November 2012.

Senate Doesn’t Want Reid’s Bill

Neither did I. The vote, 50 to 49. Senator Scott Brown voted with the Democrats.
Does the word, RINO, mean anything to you? Or him?
Reid voted against his own bill, so he could resurrect it later.
His bill, had it passed, would have raised the debt limit by $2.4T.

So what will he go for now?

Swift Boated Again

Ben Smith (POLITICO) has a short article concerning a Swift Boat veteran.

I’m sure John Kerry won’t be happy about it.

Meet John Galt

Briefly.

Congress Writes the Laws

Apparently, that’s what Boehner told the POTUS.

“As I read the Constitution, the Congress writes the laws and you get to decide what you want to sign,” Boehner said, recounting what he told the president, according to two sources.

Federal Spending 10 Years From Now

Federal Spending in Perspective by Veronique de Rugy

She is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her primary research interests include the federal budget, homeland security, taxation, tax competition, and financial privacy issues.

Interest doubles, entitlements and health rises 50%, defense decreases a little, as does the rest of government spending.

Now, tell me,where do we focus on fixing this problem? As if I didn’t already know.

Need More Like Him

Why one GOP freshman exited the House whip team

“He’s been pretty clear and pretty adamant that nobody can buy his vote, so he was a little frustrated with the way leadership asked him to vote on certain occasions,” the source said. “So, he decided it would be best for him to step out and leave the whip team because he couldn’t align with them in certain areas. In no way, shape or form did leadership kick him out, but they made it a pretty inhospitable environment for him to actually vote his conscience and not buy his vote on the whip team. He still supports top leadership.”

Ah, but what else I glean from this is – the “whip club” is telling who just how exactly to vote.

So. Are there more like him at the Renegades-R-Us store?

Federally Unreserved

$16 Trillion loaned since 2007 to just one year ago. Three years to hand out $16 Trillion.

“The long-awaited GAO audit shows that the Federal Reserve loaned more than the worth of the annual US economy, and not just to American banks, although US institutions got the lion’s share.”

Can we clean out the Senate now? Please?

Remember in November 2012. Although it would be much better if we could do it sooner.

Read the whole article at Hot Air. I’m just too disgusted to say anymore about this here at the moment.

Of course. realize this is as a result of a recent GAO report.

This isn’t fantasy. This is corruption at the highest, unnacountable level.
