Concerns on UN Gun Treaty Regulating Firearms Globally

Some tidbits:
Creation of a new U.N. agency to regulate international weapon sales.
Compensation fund for victims of gun violence worldwide.
The biggest threat, the body that would administer the treaty, the “Implementation Support Unit.”
Track any guns that could be exported.
Require gun makers to engrave sequential tracings on every one of some 3 billion bullets produced in the U.S.

WI Dem Party Flak Threatens Independent Reporter

I wouldn’t call it hutzpah. Is it more than intimidation? I’d say so.

Zeilinski’s email could easily be read as a threat to organize union demonstrators against Wisconsin newspapers that publish reporting provided to them by WisconsinReporter.com’s staff. And his vow to go after WisconsinReporter.com’s capitol media credentials is an obvious effort to silence a news organization with which he disagrees

“To have a party official put something in writing like that is pretty out there,” she said. “I’ve seen a lot of emotions. Politics are bubbling to the surface in a way we don’t normally see with editorial products, but this is uncharted territory.”

Excessive Raid on Raw Food

You be the judge, but I’d say this police action was way over the line and unnecessary.

Thanks to Hot Air, I don’t know whether to laugh, or cry.

You find out, you let me know.

Tells It Like It Is

Can’t say that I disagree with Jonah Goldberg of National Review Online. Not at all.
I notice what the media does not, also. That they are terribly one-sided.
Hardly what I would call profesionally objective journalists interested in truth and disseminating it for us all to acknowledge it, learn and make things better.
Also, they are not, dare I say – “fair and balanced.”

I have to admit, I think Jonah’s response is the same as mine.
Too bad. But it is the price paid for expanding one’s vision beyond what it used to be.

My favorite website, Don Surber, has more on this. Involves Time Magazine, too.

VP Calls Us Terrorists

And later, denies he said that word.

What do you say now, Joe? That this debt deal isn’t a deal? Or, is it? Does it depend on the definition of is? Or was?

Make up your mind, Joe. We are watching. And remembering. Certainly until November 2012.

Senate Doesn’t Want Reid’s Bill

Neither did I. The vote, 50 to 49. Senator Scott Brown voted with the Democrats.
Does the word, RINO, mean anything to you? Or him?
Reid voted against his own bill, so he could resurrect it later.
His bill, had it passed, would have raised the debt limit by $2.4T.

So what will he go for now?

Overbearing Authority

Police state.

Some police, just shouldn’t be. This one in particular since he has not a care for the First Amendment.

At HotAirPundit.

And another case. This time in Nevada.

United We Stand

What Boehner Said To The Caucus
from The Washington Post,
Jennifer Rubin

I went on “Fox News Sunday” this morning because it was the most effective way to tell everyone where things stand. It boils down to this: The president wants his $2.4 trillion debt limit increase all at once, without any guarantees that we’re going to cut more than $2.4 trillion in spending. The administration says they have to have it all upfront so we don’t have to deal with this again until after the next election. You heard the president say that himself on TV the other night.
