United We Stand
What Boehner Said To The Caucus
from The Washington Post,
Jennifer Rubin
I went on “Fox News Sunday” this morning because it was the most effective way to tell everyone where things stand. It boils down to this: The president wants his $2.4 trillion debt limit increase all at once, without any guarantees that we’re going to cut more than $2.4 trillion in spending. The administration says they have to have it all upfront so we don’t have to deal with this again until after the next election. You heard the president say that himself on TV the other night.

Civics Lesson
From a friend:
Ludwig von Mises, one of the greatest economists of all time (1881 -1973) wrote, “There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as a result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved.” This is the choice that the nation faces today. Which decision will prevail? (To visualize the problem we face, check this out: http://www.wtfnoway.com/
As the nation bumps up against the debt ceiling, the news media continues to babble about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush, and Obama continues to blame Bush for the problem.
So once more, a short civics lesson. This is so important and unreported that I urge you to pass it along to everyone in your address book.
Ellen
Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress from January 2007 until January of 2011 is the Democratic Party.
Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.
For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.
In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is, I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I expanded that deficit four-fold as President.
There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.

Congress Writes the Laws
Apparently, that’s what Boehner told the POTUS.
“As I read the Constitution, the Congress writes the laws and you get to decide what you want to sign,” Boehner said, recounting what he told the president, according to two sources.

Federal Spending 10 Years From Now
Federal Spending in Perspective by Veronique de Rugy
She is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her primary research interests include the federal budget, homeland security, taxation, tax competition, and financial privacy issues.
Interest doubles, entitlements and health rises 50%, defense decreases a little, as does the rest of government spending.
Now, tell me,where do we focus on fixing this problem? As if I didn’t already know.

FDA Bans Asthma Medication
Why?
The only over-the-counter asthma inhaler sold in the United States will no longer be available next year as part of an international agreement to stop the use of substances that damage the environment.
Primatene Mist (epinephrine) is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the temporary relief of occasional symptoms of mild asthma. FDA urges those who use Primatene Mist to see a health care professional soon to switch to another asthma medicine.
Primatene Mist inhalers are being discontinued because they use chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as a propellant (spray) to move the medicine out of the inhaler so patients can breathe the medicine into their lungs.
From the Big Government article:
CFCs from inhalers were a trivial contributor and should have been permanently exempted from these regimes until something just as good and just as affordable came along. They weren’t, and it hasn’t.

Federally Unreserved
$16 Trillion loaned since 2007 to just one year ago. Three years to hand out $16 Trillion.
“The long-awaited GAO audit shows that the Federal Reserve loaned more than the worth of the annual US economy, and not just to American banks, although US institutions got the lion’s share.”
Can we clean out the Senate now? Please?
Remember in November 2012. Although it would be much better if we could do it sooner.
Read the whole article at Hot Air. I’m just too disgusted to say anymore about this here at the moment.
Of course. realize this is as a result of a recent GAO report.
This isn’t fantasy. This is corruption at the highest, unnacountable level.

The Real Deficit Deadline Ides of August
As explained by Don Surber, it would appear the POTUS has given up his throne to, gak, Harry Reid.
But the kicker is the explanation from Zero Hedge. This explanation tells us when we will actually be out of money. Or, rather – “… the money generating machinery won’t be in place on time.”
Yeah. Let’s be sure to watch this Chess game, or is it checkers? (King Me! Said Harry.)

Candidate for Baltimore Mayor Proposes New Tax
Otis Rolley said he would, if elected, propose a $1 per bullet tax on all bullet purchases in the city. The idea was part of an overall crime plan he unveiled Tuesday.

Do you think this will send the criminals to surrounding territories beyond city limits?
Oh yeah. Totally dumb.
