After all, here’s two FCC commissioners that don’t seem to understand how to do their job and stay out of our affairs.
First, Michael Copps, who last week demanded authority to enforce campaign-finance reform (the FEC’s job), also authority to order music stations to broadcast news shows, and for television networks to give up 25% of prime-time air to locally-produced shows.
Second, Mignon Clyburn has decided that free health care works so well that the government should mandate free Internet as well. Apparently she has never set foot in a library.

New Kind of Terrorism?
Stitching a bomb into the abdominal cavity made of plastic or liquid explosives – such as semtex or PETN was judged the best method.
Personally, I’d just as soon send them a pallet of Beans. They’d suffer first before exploding from passing natural gas.
On a related note, I received notice via a friend’s email of a possible new product in the offing:
Develop a booth that you step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on or in your body. The explosion will be contained within the sealed booth.
This would be a win-win for everyone. There would be none of this nonsense about racial profiling and the device would eliminate long and expensive trials.
This is so simple that it’s brilliant. I can see it now: you’re in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, “Attention, standby passengers! We now have a seat available on flight number…”
I’ll contact engineering tomorrow morning and get right on it.

The Federal Election Commission is investigating a complaint that Rep. Charles Rangel improperly used his National Leadership PAC to fund his legal defense on ethics charges for which he was censured Thursday, The Post has learned.
The FEC is acting on a complaint by the National Legal and Policy Center filed after The Post reported last month that Rangel paid nearly $400,000 from his PAC.
Lawmakers are only allowed to use money in their individual campaign funds for legal fees, or they can set up legal defense funds for such costs.

Media Matters posted a video the other day slamming FOX News for creating a video that shows Nicolle Wallace being punched in the face by Sarah Palin.
But the trouble is, the video was created by The Tonight Show… Not FOX News.
