Huge turnout in Tunisia’s Arab Spring election
Libya’s transitional leader says Islamic Sharia law will be the “basic source” of all law
Incompatible with our morals, our Constitution, our laws, our Christian faith(s).
Right?

I’ve changed my mind on voter ID laws — I think Alabama did the right thing in passing one — and I wish I had gotten it right when I was in political office.
……
The truth is that the most aggressive contemporary voter suppression in the African American community, at least in Alabama, is the wholesale manufacture of ballots, at the polls and absentee, in parts of the Black Belt.

Hear this, Maryland?

I’ve asked about this before. And now it comes out.

Reporting from Washington— Moammar Kadafi secretly salted away more than $200 billion in bank accounts, real estate and corporate investments around the world …….
U.S. and European authorities said Friday that they intended to quickly hand over frozen assets to the transitional Libyan government. But so far, the U.N. has authorized release of only $1.5 billion from accounts in the U.S., and the Obama administration has turned over $700 million of that amount, said Marti Adams, a Treasury Department spokeswoman.
Some African nations were reluctant to freeze Libyan accounts at all because of their loyalty to Kadafi. Others feared that freezing Libyan assets could hurt their domestic economies as bills and workers went unpaid.
POWERLINE has an excellent video on Carter, Obama. Whoever.

While Americans ar losing their homes, for a variety of economic reasons, we have U.S. Senators willing to provide foreigners the documentation necessary to purchase expensive homes here in the U.S.
Is your U.S. Senator helping you, or not? Honestly, why are our U.S. Senators pandering to non-Americans to buy our own homes that our own people are losing? Think about this retiring Democrat Representative from California and what he said about the Administration concerning the housing crisis. And ask again, are your federal reps helping? Or hurting?
And here’s another goodie, apparently an electric car company can’t find anyplace here in the U.S. to build their car(s) – even after receiving a guaranteed goverrnment loan:
With the approval of the Obama administration, an electric car company that received a $529 million federal government loan guarantee is assembling its first line of cars in Finland, saying it could not find a facility in the United States capable of doing the work.
Yet another instance of “stimulus money” (aka, our tax money) going OVERSEAS. And quite likely, right back into our politicians pockets (read the article).

from The Hill:
Obama wants $35 billion for teachers, first-responders first
Obama will implement the full-court press on the pieces of the jobs act as he embarks on another bus tour, this time hitting the critical battleground states of North Carolina and Virginia, two states Obama won in 2008 that are essential to his reelection strategy.
…….
With the full $447 billion jobs bill suffering defeat in the Senate, Obama and his aides are moving to a second phase, publicly pushing for passage of the bill piece by piece. The first piece Obama wants is $35 billion in aid for states to prevent the laying off of or support increased hiring of teachers, police officers and fire fighters, Earnest said.

This is nonsense. Even if it is true OR untrue. Utter nonsense.
Do House members think we won’t notice when they put out drivel like this?
