UPDATE: Vote For New State?

According to tonight’s Glenn Beck program, Thursday’s show is going to tell us about Congress possibly voting to add Puerto Rico as the 51st state of our union.

Anyone else hear that? Anyone care to comment about that possibility and what it may mean for our country?

UPDATE: The House passed a bill in favor of statehood last night.

Global Bank Rules?

Enough said.

Well, so much for a country’s sovereignty.

Teacher Inspired Protest

In Des Moines, Iowa.

Really? It just taught me something.

Trust. Hard to Come By. Too Easy to Lose.

Remember the Anthrax case? Involving a person of interest, Steven Hatfill?
Here’s a recent and interesting article by Radley Balko on him.

And NYT tells us that the case against Mr. Hatfill is disputed by a colleague.

“I’m from the government, I’m here to help you.” Yea? Sure about that?
No longer a joke, now is it?

UPDATEx4: Criminal Element Within Illegal Immigration

Citizens of this country are being killed, Mr. President.
Speaker of the House and Senate Leader.
You haven’t been “fixing” anything about this situation. Let alone following the Constitution, especially Article 4, Section 4.

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

All because you seem to turn a blind eye to this significant problem.

And our economy and jobs picture suffer as well.

Yet you refuse to acknowledge the truth of the Arizona Governor’s statement and passage of the tough laws in that border state.

How dare you.

I will remember in November. Never forget that.

UPDATE: Glenn Reynolds on this issue.

UPDATEx2: And just recently an AZ Deputy shot.

UPDATEx3: Don Surber nails it – why AZ wants Illegal aliens out of their state. Be sure to read through the comments.

UPDATEx4: Coming from the “smartest” woman, Mrs. Clinton. cough, cough. She really doesn’t study up on the constitution does she? So. Just what is a state to do when the federal government will not do its job (see above, Mrs. Clinton)??

A Dull Needle

Healthcare.

Yeah, Congress isn’t quite done with it. Now they want to regulate those insurance premiums. And just when you thought 2,700+ pages was enough.

Oh, the humanity. Wherefore art thou?

(Give you a hint. It certainly is NOT in Congress.)

UPDATEx3: Amnesty In A Month?

Well, it appears that is what the POTUS mentioned to Scott Brown when he called the new Senator from Massachusetts in the “People’s Seat.”

Something I heard late last night, why would you – or anyone – want the possibility of electing any official by folks who don’t belong here? It seems the presumption, of the progressives, is to bury the “other side.” By any and every means necessary.

But then again, maybe the liberally applied progressives haven’t thought this all the way through. All of the immigrants that came here properly and legally may have something to say about this. At the ballot box. With the rest of us.

UPDATE: Get ready. Here come the Wonder Twins, Pelosi and Reid.

UPDATEx2: Bill to Lower Carbon Dioxide Delayed. Because …. Democrats consider pushing forward with a debate on immigration reform. Yeah, can you imagine that. Time to swamp Congress and The Hill’s phones gang. By the way, this doesn’t stop the Cap and Trade (aka, Global Warming crapola) – it just DELAYS it.

UPDATEx3: Well, maybe it delays it until next year. Sen. Graham apparently gives up on Cap and Tax.

7 Times More

That is how much more in the way of contributions, from employees of Goldman Sachs, our POTUS received – than President GW Bush got from Enron.

Wow. Where’s the heat on this from the Dems?

UPDATE: Banned Bomber Sues To Lecture

Weather Underground Founder Bill Ayers asked a federal judge (gee, thought he didn’t like the establishment) to issue an injunction against University of Wyoming.

Claim? He says the ban violates his free speech rights and freedom to assemble.

What is he trying to assemble this time?

Besides, the college has a right to say yea or nay, don’t they? I vote in favor of the college.

Psssst: I don’t have a link to an article, but I saw a ticker tape reference during lunch Wednesday that a judge told the university to allow Bill Ayers to give his speech. I hope nobody shows up to listen to that blowhard.

IRS Discloses Tax Data

The report reveals that the IRS made 7.6 billion disclosures of tax return information to federal and state agencies (up from 5.3 billion in 2008 and 4.5 billion in 2007).

Information overload?

From the comments: That’s roughly 25 disclosures for every man, woman, and child, in this country. If you group us into average family units of four, then it’s roughly 100 disclosures for every taxable family unit.

This alone looks like a very good reason to change to a Fair Tax system. Currently, this is within the house and senate as HR25 and S296.
