Repeal Amendment

Interesting. Calling for a Constitutional Convention to pass a constitutional amendment that would give two-thirds of the states the ability to repeal congressional acts.

Like … the 2,700+ page abomination of healthcare. For one.

Very interesting.

Oh, and here’s another interesting one. A Constitutional Amendment to Limit Spending.

If Only

If only, an elected Congressman/woman would consider legislation to be constitutional. First.

If only, that consideration wasn’t just left to the courts to decide, but in the legislative process itself.

If only, there were common sense applied up and down the line, including how a widely cited expert on the Supreme Court, responded, “How weird is that, I thought. Isn’t it a court’s job to determine whether or not something is, in fact, constitutional? And isn’t that sort of provided for in, well, the Constitution?” (Well, so much for being an – expert.)

If only, a progressive blogger – that writes in U.S. News & World Report, that such talk of requiring constitutionality is “just plain wacky.” (Wacky? Is that all that blogger has to describe it? Not, correct?)

Jonah Goldberg refers to this as creepy logic. I call it what it is.

This is how an elected official should be doing their job. In compliance with the Constitution. Daily.

UPDATEx4: Comparison

Here is an overhead shot of the attendees for the Restore Honor Rally on 08/28/10.

And here is a shot from stage view of the One Nation Rally on 10/02/10.

From this, I’d say of the Left – there isn’t enough of them.

Let’s see if this holds true one month from now.

29 Days to Election Day, 2010. Be there.

UPDATEx1: Photos of the One Nation Rally. We definitely can call them Socialists now.
Oh, and the trash they left behind? Symbolic, for what they do to America.

UPDATEx2: And it appears that CSPAN is into creative advertising as well, by using a photo of the Restoring Honor Rally to advertise for the One Nation thingy. I’d say they don’t have the budget for real, honest photojournalists anymore.

UPDATEx3: An unhinged, deranged One Nation rally attendee assaulted a reporter that was recording video of Charlie Rangel. So much for peace and love, eh there? Video at the link.

UPDATEx4: And here is an overhead view of the One Nation Rally similar to the Restoring Honor event. Note the time of day.

For A Title A Lack of Sense

In 1974 Ayers put a dedication that celebrated murderer and political assassin Sirhan Sirhan, the man who killed Bobby Kennedy as he ran for president in 1968, in his book.

Ayers is a known, unapologetic, home grown terrorist. By his own admission.

The son of Bobby Kennedy sits on the same University of Illinois at Chicago board that Ayers had to appeal to for his ‘title‘ of Emeritus upon retirement. At that time, Ayers was denied. But now, the faculty leaders are deciding to come to help this terrorist to get his ‘title‘.

Their reasoning? Kennedy made Ayer’s case personal.

No kidding. Every one of them should be forcibly retired. Without pay.

From the Mouth of a Socialist

The unvarnished truth of what the head of the AFL-CIO, President Richard Trumka, believes they should do.

Control private corporations.

Greedy much there, Trumka?

UPDATE: Voter Fraud

And how it was found out.

By citizens.

UPDATE: So now the citizens get sued for doing the job the officials won’t do. By the Texas Democratic Party. How American of them (snide comment of mine).

There’s more elsewhere, as reported in The Denver Post. 6,000 bogus voter registrations. Via GatewayPundit.

And then there’s this in Arizona. Sheesh. How brazen.

Will someone PLEASE throw the Encyclopedia Brittanica at them?

Healthcare 6 Month Birthday

What? No candles?

POTUS Humanizes Healthcare Debate

So he would have us to believe – to talk about provisions of the new law that will take effect on Thursday, six months after it became law, and highlight his argument that healthcare reform will help control the U.S. budget deficit.

Yes, but not about the provisions we couldn’t know about until the unread bill was voted then signed into law.

Such as the funded abortions (by us) to be performed in other countries? How about the 1099 forms businesses have to file for every single purchase between them and other businesses? There has to be more in there we have yet to hear about.

Right? How is the (yet to be hired) 16,000 IRS new hires (to enforce the healthcare payments by individuals) going to control the budget deficit?

UPDATE: Feds Didn’t Like First Ruling

http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2010/09/public-privacy/#ixzz10GwocAiu

The Justice Department is demanding a federal appeals court rehear a case in which it reversed the conviction and life sentence of a cocaine dealer whose vehicle was tracked via GPS for a month, without a court warrant.

Seems the Administration has an eye toward the rest of us. And no regard for current Law.

UPDATE: Further proof of this.

Not A History Buff

Apparently, the POTUS just doesn’t bother to read any book on history.

Sheesh. If he’s this dumb about history, what about his economic knowledge?
Just an idea, apparently.

As if we didn’t know.
