What Feds Knew And When They Knew It

There’s no escaping this one.
Pictures from above and video of a meeting.

It is now over 56, 57 days since the Deepwater Horizon explosion and subsequent mile-deep oil volcano.

Lousy performance, 1600. And Congress.

You could have given a waiver of the Jones Act and accepted help from other countries willing and able to help us in a real time of need.

Instead, you fritter away our time our natural resources our money our patience.

And point fingers everywhere but where it belongs.

No votes for you anymore.

UPDATE: Healthcare Coverage Uncovered

Imagine that.

According to Jim Hoft at GatewayPundit, a majority of Americans will lose their company sponsored health plans within 3 years.

Well, not so much by Jim Hoft he just posted the news this afternoon, try Investors via Doug Ross.

How’s that Hope and Change going there? Ready to vote this coming September? (Here in Maryland, that’s the Primary 09/14/10 – you want this unfunded then repealed? Consider voting for me. Sorry, usually I am not so upfront with that approach but this isn’t about one or a couple running for office. This is about saving our country, dammit.)

UPDATE: Now this little tidbit that is stuck inside the Healthcare legislation. How’s this for taxing by alchemy?

Financial Idiocy Will Be The Death of US

Like, we didn’t know that.

Who else doesn’t know that? The legislature of New York. Allowing $6B to be borrowed – to make the payments to the pension fund — from the same pension fund.

Aren’t any elected officials educated in basic math?

Vote these idiots out folks.

New and Deadly EPA Regulations

According to the AP:
The Senate has rejected a bid to stop the Obama administration from imposing regulations on greenhouse gases, giving a boost to President Barack Obama as he pursues broader clean energy legislation.

And the vote was 53 Nays to 43 Yeas (Roll Call). Take a guess how our illustrious Maryland U.S. Senators voted. Think they had our best interest at heart?

I will save you the trouble. They both voted against this bill that would have prevented the EPA from imposing the worst piece of regulation on our entire society.

What hutzpah. What unmitigated gall. What super-inflated, uneducated egos.

They just allowed appointed Marxists the power to regulate us into the dark ages. They have to go.

Tax Cuts, Jobs, Economy. The Truth.

All wrapped up. Just for you. The truth. Finally.
The Bush tax cuts versus what Obama/Pelosi said & did.

By the way, aren’t these tax cuts going to expire after the end of this year?
That means, you know, your take home pay is going to shrink.

Get ready for the pain.

Now We Know What Is In It

Thanks to Don Surber.

145 bureaucracies. To watch over us and tell us what we can’t have.

Gaak.

Give me the chance to keep them unfunded. Go on. Do it.

The Future

I hate it when that happens.

My best friend and I were talking the other day about looming price increases on our fuel consumption such as gas and diesel. Well, here’s what a former Shell Executive has to say – we may be seeing $6 to $8 per gallon of fuel on the horizon.

I have one question for each of us. How much money do you have left to spend at the end of your monthly budget?

To expand on this: Will you be able to afford to go to work every day now? How about your grocery bill? Bet we are all going on a forced diet, you think? How often will you be cutting your grass now? Probably have to do it yourself since you won’t be able to afford paying your lawn service, right? Home deliveries of food, drugs, newspapers, trash and recycle pickups – all those are going to increase in their bills left in your mailbox. No more going out to eat, no more going to the mall or movies. (And let’s face it, there will likely be a rash of additional bankruptcies and foreclosures right on the heels of all these cost increases.)

And let’s not forget our electric bills.

Thank the Administration, folks. For their short-sightedness and reactionary policies involving the latest fiasco.

This is going to hurt. Big time.

UPDATE: Rocketing To The Poorhouse

Remember November. Got to do that – and vote.

After all, look at what they have done to our wallets.
Congress spent $230B since passing Pay-As-You-Go.

And these nimrods want us to trust them. To vote for them.

HAH! Like THAT’s going to happen.

UPDATE: Did I say rocketing? More like, taxing us until we can no longer afford to drive to work. Thereby increasing unemployment, revenue dropping like sacks of wet cement, bankrupting every one in the country and ultimately destroying the government itself. Hows that for starters? Say thanks to the POTUS, folks.

Oh, and let’s not forget how big of an impact this will have on those with fixed incomes. Yup, to add insult to injury, it looks like no COLA increase for the 2nd year in a row for those on Social Security.

In His Own Words

Rich Not Paying Their Fair Share

According to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Her own personal opinion she says.

Yeah.

Now, if you watched Glenn Beck on this past May 3rd, you would have heard a clip of President Obama say “… I do think, at a certain point you’ve made enough money …”.

Glenn went on (silently) to list about 9 (10? Yup, Bill & Hillary) people who each have a current worth in the millions to billions of dollars.

Hillary? Well, she and her husband are $35M to the good. Oprah? $245M.
Soros? Try $14B. Gore? estimated at $100M. Andy Stern? $306K per year.
And some others.

So, are they – have they – paying their fair share, SoS Clinton?????

You know what this means, don’t you?

They got theirs, you won’t have a chance at reaching your potential.
Not if they have their say.

By the way. Define what “rich” is.
