Excuses Excuses

Sounds to me that the Head of DHS isn’t even going to try to do her job:

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, whose agency is charged with securing America’s borders, told an audience in Washington, D.C., in reference to the U.S.-Mexico border, “You’re never going to totally seal that border.”

And it also sounds to me that the Mayor of Philadelphia is obstructing Justice:

Mayor Nutter has expressed concern about the human rights of all immigrants, regardless of their legal status.

Well then, he should discuss that with President Calderone. Legal status. So he is going to shield criminals. Right? Sure does sound like it.

Don’t Pay, Just Seize Them

That’s the approach Hugo Chavez takes. And takes. (Notice a pattern here?)

Yup, he won’t pay $100M owed to a U.S. company for working their oil rigs providing product to Venezuela. Oh yeah, definitely the free enterprise system doesn’t work there.

At least, the government can still use this product – unlike the confiscated foodstuffs rotting in warehouses, right?

UPDATE: What In The Wide Wide World of ….

Is going on here?

Who told those barges to stop vacuuming oil from the waters along Louisiana’s shores?

UPDATE: Oh, these guys shut them down. Well, at least it was temporary. Thanks to Governor Jindal.

DOJ Doesn’t Read Any Laws

Arizona’s or the U.S. Constitution, apparently.

What’s more, the DOJ seems to think it important to have the SCOTUS overturn an Arizona immigration law (here’s the kicker, Gov. Napolitano signed that one) just because they want to. It looks to me like they are doing this under orders probably. Isn’t Napolitano head of DHS now? What the hey is going on? I am not implying that Napolitano is giving the orders, I am quite sure the readers here know I am referring to the POTUS.

They do realize we are paying attention, don’t they?

Like, what about ICE? What about the 287G program? Are they told not to deport anyone anymore? Whether they arrest directly or take from 287G compliant local officers? Just what kind and how much of dereliction of duty is it going to take before this administration totally destroys any semblance of law and order in this once fine nation?

Totally absurd.

Hopefully, eventually, we can refer to this entire administration as once-wassers.

Remember November. This year AND in 2012.

UPDATE: I Quite Agree. Unequivocally.

This should not be happening in America.

At all. Ever. This is NOT what we stand for.

(Yes, I know I pointed to this story before. And not long ago (look back two posts). But it bears repeating, even if it’s just from another source.)

UPDATE: According to the MPD, they deny that any of its officers crossed into Montgomery County at any time.

Krauthammer is Correct

Lawless. (Indeed – our own enforcers even say it – that they will not enforce the law.)

And quoting a portion of Article 4, Section 4.

Just like it was mentioned before.

Buy Healthcare Or Lose Your Tax Refund

Gee, that’s a bit harsh coming from the IRS whose only function is supposed to be – collecting taxes.

So, tell me again why the IRS needs to have its employee base strengthened to strongarm the public to buy something in this free enterprise system when it is not a tax?

HHHHhhmmmm ????

Another Senseless Drug War Death

Stunning developments in the 2009 police shooting of Georgia pastor Jonathan Ayers
Radley Balko | March 23, 2010

Given the details I read in this article, along with past articles written by Mr. Balko that I have also been following, I am surprised to find no Congressional official NOT acting upon issues such as this.

This is NOT helping the law abiding, instead it is allowing incompetence within policing forces that are mistaking civilians as criminal elements with fatal results.

And for what? Suspicion of drugs? Planted drugs? Afterward when the police discover they messed up – they try to cover it up. Badly. Intentionally. Knowingly.

Not very smart nor professional.

This needs to change. After all, the law abiding isn’t supposed to fear the Police.

Now, are we?

And still on the subject, I learned from my wife today she unnerved a policeman in the store she works in. She leaned to the side to read his name plate, and he reached for his firearm. He claimed he thought she was going for his gun.

She then said – hello, you’re in a lumber yard general store with elderly sales ladies.
You think we are something else?

A perfect example of the poor training and judgment attained by some officers bearing sidearms.
