AG Holder a Betting Man

That’s how this Hot Air article portrays him. Nevertheless, this article is an excellent read and blockquotes this tidbit within theirs:

The 1965 Voting Rights Act was created to combat the systematic disenfranchisement of minorities, especially in Southern states with a history of discrimination. But the Justice position is a lead zeppelin, contradicting both the Supreme Court and the Department’s own precedent. In 2005, Justice approved a Georgia law with the same provisions and protections of the one Mr. Holder nixed for South Carolina. In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Crawford v. Marion County Election Board that an Indiana law requiring photo ID did not present an undue burden on voters.

But betting man? Holder? I’m surprised has hasn’t folded his hand. He really should.

Read the whole article as Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey points out that the photo-id established by Indiana and others are provided to the applicant for free.

Stealing From Social Security

House Republicans may save Social Security

That’s the title for a post by Don Surber. But within that post is a little nugget that explains where the next “stimulus” would come from. Apperently, the President would like to take a quarter of a trillion right – out – of – Social Security’s trust fund.

How do you like him now?

Your Signature Means Nothing

A Hot Air article titled – “Mickey Mouse” is free to petition for Scott Walker’s recall – talks of the Wisconsin government board that will accept the signatures of “Mickey Mouse” and even “Adolf Hitler” on petitions for a recall election.

As long as they are properly dated, they say.

What I say is that, if this stands, any and every legal document that requires your signature will then be highly questionable and likely null and void – should you employ a signature other than your name.

This is highly irregular and should be disallowed. Any lawyer care to weigh in?

This Is Not Politics

This is obstructionism at its worst.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) tried to bring up the House-passed payroll-tax bill for a vote with the intention of summarily rejecting it, but Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) objected. McConnell pushed for the Senate to first vote on an omnibus spending bill that would fund much of the federal government through 2012 and avert a shutdown after Friday night.

The two leaders ended their exchange with no immediate path forward. McConnell urged Reid to negotiate with Boehner, but Reid said “the Speaker can’t negotiate with me until this bill is killed” — referring to the payroll-tax measure.

UPDATEx2: Turning Up The Heat On Holder

At least, it would seem so.
Here’s an open letter to the AG from an ATF Agent. In Mexico.
Wonder if it will make a difference.

Nah. If his boss won’t hold his feet to the fire, there’s only one way to take care of the problem.

Elect someone else as President of the United States and – hopefully – most of BO’s administration gets replaced. Eric Holder first.

Oh, and then there’s this – apparently, Eric doesn’t think a photo ID is needed to vote. You know, we wouldn’t want any unnecessary burdens on anyone that doesn’t have a drivers license, or has to prove their identity when seeking a job, or credit, or cashing a check, or buying liquor. One would think that voting wasn’t as important as, you know, preventing fraud of any kind now is there?

UPDATEx2: From FB. This picture was recently updated to include an additional line item at the bottom of the list.

Legal Gun Sales To Mexico By US Govt

From Hot Air:
The money line:

…the big spike in arms supply to cartels didn’t come from local gun shops at all, but from the US government approving a rapid increase in direct sales from manufacturers to the Mexican government, whose purchases got diverted to the cartels — a fact known to the Obama administration all along.

Video at the link.

NAACP Complains To UN About US States Voting Laws

Got that? The NAACP apparently is taking their concerns about possible voter disenfranchisement, of minorities, to an organization rife with criminals (remember Oil for Food?, Darfur?).

Absolutely ridiculous on its face. Mostly because they don’t like the laws in this country, ACORN hasn’t done enough voter fraud – so they want even more of a chance to destroy our needs for constitutional freedoms and the Law of the Land.

Apparently, NAACP no longer trusts even our own government. I wonder why?

Direct attention away from this maybe?

White House Claims $$B Savings In 2 Years

WASHINGTON, DC – President Obama today announced nearly $4 billion in combined federal and private sector energy upgrades to buildings over the next 2 years. These investments will save billions in energy costs, promote energy independence, and, according to independent estimates, create tens of thousands of jobs in the hard-hit construction sector. The $4 billion investment announced today includes a $2 billion commitment, made through the issuance of a Presidential Memorandum, to energy upgrades of federal buildings using long term energy savings to pay for up-front costs, at no cost to taxpayers.

At no cost to taxpayers? Huh? How is that possible with the billions needed to be spent by federal and private sector energy upgrades, as mentioned above?

What are they smoking in the White House? Will it need to be fumigated come January 2013? Seems it will.

The Death of Global Warming

Too much to say, too little time to say it and way too many links delving deeper, deeper into the bowels of so-called “professionals” (you will note that I am not calling anyone involved in this chain of email communications recently exposed as – scientists).

Let’s start with Anthony’s website – WattsUpWithThat. The recently released treasure trove of emails (okay, hacked, if you really want to split hairs) on the subject of Global Warming appears to be very damning indeed. Just one reference I make here –

UPDATE26: 2:50 PM 11/25 Two separate examples show obstruction and collusion by members of “The Team” to prevent any dissenting science from being properly considered by the NRC in 2007.

There is much more. A tease –

UPDATE21: 9:50AM PST 11/24 “FOIA2011″ and Climategate – A Chinese-POTUS connection?

I strongly recommend you read through the site, if you are at all interested in this subject, and how much it has affected all of us detrimentally.

Based on what I have read on this, Al Gore should be very ashamed of himself and the funds he has acquired on this subject should be returned to their rightful owners.

And these “professionals” should ……. well, I’ll let you make any further comments should you choose to do so.

Oh, and then there is this site, Daily Mail Online in the UK, hopping on the same subject but being more emphatic that there was certainly collusion involved.

DOJ Sues Another State

This time it is Utah. Two days before Thanksgiving.

The first paragraph from their own, uncolorful, website proclaiming –

WASHINGTON – The Department of Justice today challenged Utah’s immigration law, which comes after recent lawsuits in Arizona, Alabama and South Carolina.

How, selfish, of them. Telling states they are not allowed to protect themselves, their lawful residents, their budgets and their way of life. Is it the Feds job, Eric? Then why don’t you do it??

By the way, Eric, where is the money coming from to support all these lawsuits? Just how many states are you willing to sue? Do you really expect the states to respect you for this?

No soup for you, Eric.
