Energetic Hypocrites

Meet the Sierra Club. Apparently, they accepted $26M from Chesapeake Energy and its subsidiaries. These companies are one of the largest groups providing natural gas-drilling operations.

The Sierra Club accepted these funds to support their disdain for coal mining and the subsequent coal-fired energy plants. Something about “dirty coal”, if I am not mistaken.

Let’s see what it takes to produce (currently) natural-gas, shall we?

From Wikipedia:

Before natural gas can be used as a fuel, it must undergo processing to clean the gas and remove impurities including water in order to meet the specifications of marketable natural gas. The by-products of processing include ethane, propane, butanes, pentanes, and higher molecular weight hydrocarbons, hydrogen sulphide (which may be converted into pure sulfur), carbon dioxide, water vapor, and sometimes helium and nitrogen.

Carbon dioxide? CO2? Horrors!

Okay, who’s buying carbon credits for this, hmmm? Sierra CLub or Chesaapeake Energy?

Go climb a tree you idjits.

The R Word

Really. (No, not that one.) Racism. Yes, that old ploy.

I point you to Don Surber’s recent, and excellent, post on this very topic.

Who uses it as a crutch, who gets it thrown at them and who understands nothing about the reality.

Go, Don, go! Nobody does it better.

POed POTUS

Obama Has Heated Argument With AZ Gov Jan Brewer

Not a good teaching moment there, BO. Unless, of course, you’re showing us how thin skinned you happen to be. For that, you excel.

Fuel Costs To Increase Soon

One culprit, EPA. Just look what is happening (and has) in St. Croix (U.S. Virgin Islands)

Say Thanks to the EPA and the POTUS for making living & working much more expensive.

And remember who said “NO” to building the Keystone Pipeline.

He Should Have Kept His Mouth Shut

But no, the White House opened it wide and condemned the killing of the Iranian Nuclear scientist.

Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum was right. Zippy should have zipped it.

IDs Required But For Voting

There have been prior versions floating around, but I wanted to update the list to see where this goes and if it grows “legs.”

If anyone has extra information to add, please be so kind to let me know. I will be happy to update and re-post it.

AG Holder a Betting Man

That’s how this Hot Air article portrays him. Nevertheless, this article is an excellent read and blockquotes this tidbit within theirs:

The 1965 Voting Rights Act was created to combat the systematic disenfranchisement of minorities, especially in Southern states with a history of discrimination. But the Justice position is a lead zeppelin, contradicting both the Supreme Court and the Department’s own precedent. In 2005, Justice approved a Georgia law with the same provisions and protections of the one Mr. Holder nixed for South Carolina. In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Crawford v. Marion County Election Board that an Indiana law requiring photo ID did not present an undue burden on voters.

But betting man? Holder? I’m surprised has hasn’t folded his hand. He really should.

Read the whole article as Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey points out that the photo-id established by Indiana and others are provided to the applicant for free.

Baghdad Bombed – We Were Told This Would Happen

And it did.

(CBS/AP) Updated at 1:57 p.m. ET

BAGHDAD – A wave of 16 bombings ripped across Baghdad Thursday, killing at least 69 people in the worst violence in Iraq for months. The apparently coordinated attacks struck days after the last American forces left the country and in the midst of a major government crisis between Shiite and Sunni politicians that has sent sectarian tensions soaring.

UPDATEx2: Turning Up The Heat On Holder

At least, it would seem so.
Here’s an open letter to the AG from an ATF Agent. In Mexico.
Wonder if it will make a difference.

Nah. If his boss won’t hold his feet to the fire, there’s only one way to take care of the problem.

Elect someone else as President of the United States and – hopefully – most of BO’s administration gets replaced. Eric Holder first.

Oh, and then there’s this – apparently, Eric doesn’t think a photo ID is needed to vote. You know, we wouldn’t want any unnecessary burdens on anyone that doesn’t have a drivers license, or has to prove their identity when seeking a job, or credit, or cashing a check, or buying liquor. One would think that voting wasn’t as important as, you know, preventing fraud of any kind now is there?

UPDATEx2: From FB. This picture was recently updated to include an additional line item at the bottom of the list.

NAACP Complains To UN About US States Voting Laws

Got that? The NAACP apparently is taking their concerns about possible voter disenfranchisement, of minorities, to an organization rife with criminals (remember Oil for Food?, Darfur?).

Absolutely ridiculous on its face. Mostly because they don’t like the laws in this country, ACORN hasn’t done enough voter fraud – so they want even more of a chance to destroy our needs for constitutional freedoms and the Law of the Land.

Apparently, NAACP no longer trusts even our own government. I wonder why?

Direct attention away from this maybe?
