There Isn’t Enough Of Them

IRS agents. Can you believe that’s even possible? No?

How about if the IRS says so? And they know the Healthcare Bill is seriously underestimating what the IRS will need in the way of funding resources.

The office of Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), chairman of the Finance Committee, echoed that, saying Friday that funding and staffing levels won’t be decided until the IRS comes up with an implementation strategy.

That Healthcare Bill never, never should have passed and what we are seeing/hearing now is more proof to the incompetent pudding that Congress is wallowing in.

If Thine Eye Offend Thee

You know something, I can actually pluck my left one out.

Ron Baity, pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He had been invited to lead prayer as an honorary chaplain of the state house of representatives for a week.

But the clerk asked to see his prayer and found the name of Jesus near the end of the prayer. She said, “We would prefer that you not use the name Jesus. We have some people here that can be offended.”

Let them deal with it. She said “prefer” and he gets fired?

Enough of this PC already and grow a spine.

Video Is A Must Watch

Representative Pete Stark. Incumbent.

Bent on insulting the sensibility of his constituents. About securing our southern border no less.

This man thinks we don’t know any better.

Prove him wrong.

Time to turn him out so he can’t “represent” anyone anymore.

(The “video” I reference is, in fact, within the link to Michelle Malkin’s article.)

Just One. And Only One.

That’s what Chicago plans for those who want to get a gun for personal protection.

No more than one. Ever.

I feel so much better that I do not live in, nor have any interest to visit, Chicago.

UPDATE: Jobs In Jeopardy

Up to 1,000 jobs at Bucyrus International Inc. and its suppliers could be in jeopardy as the result of a decision by the U.S. Export-Import Bank, funded by Congress, to deny several hundred million dollars in loan guarantees to a coal-fired power plant and mine in India.

About 300 of those jobs are at the Bucyrus plant in South Milwaukee, where the company has 1,410 employees and its headquarters. The remaining jobs are spread across 13 states, including Illinois, Minnesota and Indiana.

UPDATE: The bank is now changing its position.

Fast Work Shoddy Work When Sleepless

That’s what Congress has done. Thoroughly unprofessional.

There can be only one reason for this. And it has nothing to do with what they quoted for the reporters.

They are concerned, scared probably, that come November – they won’t be able to do what they just did to us.

Legacy – thy name is folly. May God Help Us.

“It’s a great moment. I’m proud to have been here,” said a teary-eyed Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.), who as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee led the effort in the Senate. “No one will know until this is actually in place how it works [Edit: Here we go again!]. But we believe we’ve done something that has been needed for a long time. It took a crisis to bring us to the point where we could actually get this job done.”

Which crisis was this Senator? Mortgage? Foreclosures? Economy? Your property in Ireland?

Don’t Pay, Just Seize Them

That’s the approach Hugo Chavez takes. And takes. (Notice a pattern here?)

Yup, he won’t pay $100M owed to a U.S. company for working their oil rigs providing product to Venezuela. Oh yeah, definitely the free enterprise system doesn’t work there.

At least, the government can still use this product – unlike the confiscated foodstuffs rotting in warehouses, right?

UPDATEx2: Disclose Act Passed in the House

Pelosi, for once, reads the tea leaves correctly on the non-support on this bill.

(Psst: NRA, hear that? We know what you did. And, as an NRA member, I am not happy with what you did.)

However:

Democratic leadership aides said the vote would be rescheduled until next week, but it is still unclear whether Pelosi and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (Md.), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the author of the bill, will have enough votes to move forward then.

UPDATE: Apparently, Pelosi plans to have a vote on this abhorrent bill today. Time to light up the phone lines.

UPDATEx2: HR 5175 Roll Call Vote. Now it goes to the Senate. And we already know what that means here in Maryland, now don’t we? Call them anyway. And call again. Again.

Shocking

For a little while. Only as much as we can afford, right, Senator Joe?

Message to you, Joe, we don’t need any such legislation piled on top of us like you did with Obamacare. Certainly not on top of the ever spiraling debt.

If anything, of those 50 that want to vote for it – we want those 50 to switch and vote AGAINST it! Along with those 20.

Unbelievable. Unforgiveable.

It’s assault. Plain and simple. On video. On a public sidewalk. There is no expectation of privacy there.

And what’s more, as a legislator, Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC2) should know that his job is not enforcement.

He’s wrong and he’s gone too far. So come election time, show him the door and tell him to travel – far away from DC.
