Just One. And Only One.

That’s what Chicago plans for those who want to get a gun for personal protection.

No more than one. Ever.

I feel so much better that I do not live in, nor have any interest to visit, Chicago.

UPDATEx2: Disclose Act Passed in the House

Pelosi, for once, reads the tea leaves correctly on the non-support on this bill.

(Psst: NRA, hear that? We know what you did. And, as an NRA member, I am not happy with what you did.)

However:

Democratic leadership aides said the vote would be rescheduled until next week, but it is still unclear whether Pelosi and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (Md.), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the author of the bill, will have enough votes to move forward then.

UPDATE: Apparently, Pelosi plans to have a vote on this abhorrent bill today. Time to light up the phone lines.

UPDATEx2: HR 5175 Roll Call Vote. Now it goes to the Senate. And we already know what that means here in Maryland, now don’t we? Call them anyway. And call again. Again.

Atlas Shrugs Needs Our Help

It seems Paypal has a misguided interpretation about Pamela Geller’s website.

Let’s do what we can to help her. And that is the truth.

What Happens When Making Criticism Illegal

It enables corruption beyond belief.

To use a double entendre, there is a Reason for this.

But not for our side.

Our Rights Threatened By U.N.

The Obama administration announced its support for the United Nations Small Arms Treaty this week.

So much for our sovereignty.

Be sure to read the Washington Times article to find out what former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John R. Bolton had to say about it.

UPDATE: I Quite Agree. Unequivocally.

This should not be happening in America.

At all. Ever. This is NOT what we stand for.

(Yes, I know I pointed to this story before. And not long ago (look back two posts). But it bears repeating, even if it’s just from another source.)

UPDATE: According to the MPD, they deny that any of its officers crossed into Montgomery County at any time.

Trust. Hard to Come By. Too Easy to Lose.

Remember the Anthrax case? Involving a person of interest, Steven Hatfill?
Here’s a recent and interesting article by Radley Balko on him.

And NYT tells us that the case against Mr. Hatfill is disputed by a colleague.

“I’m from the government, I’m here to help you.” Yea? Sure about that?
No longer a joke, now is it?

UPDATEx4: Criminal Element Within Illegal Immigration

Citizens of this country are being killed, Mr. President.
Speaker of the House and Senate Leader.
You haven’t been “fixing” anything about this situation. Let alone following the Constitution, especially Article 4, Section 4.

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

All because you seem to turn a blind eye to this significant problem.

And our economy and jobs picture suffer as well.

Yet you refuse to acknowledge the truth of the Arizona Governor’s statement and passage of the tough laws in that border state.

How dare you.

I will remember in November. Never forget that.

UPDATE: Glenn Reynolds on this issue.

UPDATEx2: And just recently an AZ Deputy shot.

UPDATEx3: Don Surber nails it – why AZ wants Illegal aliens out of their state. Be sure to read through the comments.

UPDATEx4: Coming from the “smartest” woman, Mrs. Clinton. cough, cough. She really doesn’t study up on the constitution does she? So. Just what is a state to do when the federal government will not do its job (see above, Mrs. Clinton)??

UPDATE: Banned Bomber Sues To Lecture

Weather Underground Founder Bill Ayers asked a federal judge (gee, thought he didn’t like the establishment) to issue an injunction against University of Wyoming.

Claim? He says the ban violates his free speech rights and freedom to assemble.

What is he trying to assemble this time?

Besides, the college has a right to say yea or nay, don’t they? I vote in favor of the college.

Psssst: I don’t have a link to an article, but I saw a ticker tape reference during lunch Wednesday that a judge told the university to allow Bill Ayers to give his speech. I hope nobody shows up to listen to that blowhard.

Really Raleigh?

Somewhere, there are government officials lost in the forest of the Wizard of Oz.

Looking for something.

Because they banned tea partiers from carrying flags on poles that are longer than one foot long.

Read it to find out why.
