ACORN Eligible For $4B in 2011 Budget

And we thought that problem was solved. Guess again.

To add to the list of outrageous earmarks in Obama’s fiscal 2011 budget, it appears left-wing activist groups including ACORN, the embezzlement-prone, voter-registration-fraud-plagued community organizing group, are eligible to receive up to $3.99 billion in taxpayer-backed slush money.

How Much Govt. Spending Is Wasted

Fifty-three cents on the dollar? More than half?

Well, here’s the article and Poll that says so.

Now, keep this in mind when realizing how much the government has recently been spending and raising our debt limit …

Sen. Reid Kills Bipartisan Jobs Bill

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is rewriting a jobs bill after Democrats complained of too many concessions to Republicans.

[Well now, don’t just just beat all? Now what do you suppose will be Obama’s reaction to this?]

Expiration Date: Middle Class Tax Hikes

President Obama fooled middle-class voters into supporting him in 2008 with this pledge. Didn’t he? He said this during his 2008 campaign:

“No family making less than $250,000 will see any form of tax increase. … not any of your taxes.”

And now, he says he is an “agnostic” about that. Can you believe that?

Why can’t we have an honest President? Eh?

UPDATEDx5: Summit: GOP – Show Up And Argue Points

Don’t miss this opportunity, GOP.

It is equally important to the public at large that you be seen fighting for us. As opposed to just turning your backs on this Summit meeting.

If you don’t, this could likely backfire and lend more fuel to the Administration’s rhetoric in the MSM.

We, the country and Constitution, cannot afford that. Help us, by showing up and doing your job by fighting for us.

Please and Thank You.

UPDATE:
Thank you, House Republican Whip Eric Cantor.

UPDATEx2: According to Speaker Pelosi, this event is a trick and the Dems will use reconciliation to force the existing bill through. Pay attention folks.

UPDATEx3: Rasmussen has the figures for how many of us would prefer that Congress start all over again to reform healthcare

UPDATEx4: Dick Morris has a very good article on how the Republicans should address this. I like it.

UPDATEx5: The invites are out.

Pattern of Ignoring Independent Analysis

For the first time by any administration in memory, the Obama budget forecast rejects the Medicare Trustees’ projections for long-run healthcare cost growth. Why would the White House do this?

Read the whole thing. The 2011 Budget has rigged the Healthcare economic assumptions.

A Case Study

In how to be cost effective.

UPDATE: Anti-Tea Party Web Site Part of Scheme to Funnel Funds

A seemingly grassroots organization that’s mounted an online campaign to counter the tea party movement is actually the front end of an elaborate scheme that funnels funds — including sizable labor union contributions — through the offices of a prominent Democratic party lawyer.

Read more … and be informed.

Shady and dishonest for sure, but not illegal???? Criminy. It should be. It needs to be.

UPDATE: Via Instapundit. FOX has the list of donors. AFSCME is one of them. They gave $9.9M within one year, government money, union dues, to fend off Tea Party protesters.

Substance Not Process

What bothers me is the content of the supposed Healthcare bill(s).
Over 2,700 pages long for the last, latest version.
Is there anyone that knows all that is in there? All of it?
I have read a good percentage of it from its beginnings through to now.
There is a lot I don’t find necessary, or even good for any of us, in this monstrous bill.

There is too much hidden in this effort to “reform” our healthcare. Not to mention all the subsequent “unintended consequences” that will surely come about should this see the light of enactment.

Even if a Summit were to be held including the GOP, there is no guarantee enough will be “fixed” to assure the country that we won’t be taxed, fee-ed and denied care out of existence.

Sorry, but I am one of those that says – start over and make it smaller, simpler, easier to understand without earmarks and lobbied interests baked into this “reform.”

You have a little less than three years to go, Mr. President. That is most certainly plenty of time to not just do this right and fair to our population but to result in a piece of work that all could be proud of their involvement. Including and especially you. And please, don’t insult us. We are the public that makes this country what it is. We are the ones who voted this administration into office. To refer to us as soured and contaminating your bill is just plain wrong.

Don’t make us regret that. The clock is ticking. Get to work.

Bye Bipartisanship

It appears that the Republicans have given a counter offer to the President’s Super Bowl interview with Katie Couric. Basically, we need to start over concerning health care insurance.

And now, the President, via Mr. Gibbs says no – we need to pass meaningful health insurance reform legislation.

My view: Since this started, there were 47 million folk uninsured. That figure is now held around 30 million. The overall population of the country is near 300 million.

With unemployment what it is and the economy in the condition that it is, why are we trying to change 90 percent of the population for the sake of the remaining ten percent? Why can’t we fix just the ten percent?????

To the Republicans in Congress, I advise – hold your ground. It shouldn’t take a bill (with more than 2,000 pages) to fix ten percent of the uninsured that may need health care insurance.
