UPDATE: WI Recall Material Stolen

Out and out thievery, breaking and entering, vandalism.

On Thursday Wisconsin conservatives announced that they had collected enough signatures 15,000 to recall fleebagger Senator Dave Hansen of Green Bay. Vandals broke into a Wisconsin political office late Thursday or Friday morning and ripped off the fleebagger recall petitions.

Think the Rule of Law will be upheld here if the perps are caught? Think the signature lists were destroyed?
Think this was organized?

UPDATE: Well, well, it looks like the crooks were caught. Thank God they weren’t too bright, huh? But what they did with the stolen data was absolutely disgusting .

Our Govt Cares Not About the Law

Gov’t asks high court to take GPS tracking case
Apr 15, 6:06 PM (ET)

By MARK SHERMAN
WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration on Friday asked the Supreme Court to take up an important privacy case for the digital age, whether the police need a warrant before using a global positioning system device to track a suspect’s movements.

Imagine if they do that to just anybody. Or everybody.

UPDATEx6: For Lawsuit Purposes

Anybody know who Righthaven is?

Well, study up. The secret is out. An excerpt:

“As many defendants in Righthaven actions have argued, Righthaven does not truly own the copyrights it sues over,” Marc John Randazza, one of the attorneys for the Media Bloggers Association, said Friday in a blog post titled in part “Does the House of Cards Collapse?”

He said Righthaven’s lawsuits seem to run afoul of case law.

Read the whole thing.

UPDATE: Righthaven disses the Court.

UPDATEx2: A federal judge ruled Monday that publishing an entire article is fair use. This is the latest blow against newspaper copyright troll Righthaven.

UPDATEx3: Righthaven is not giving up.

UPDATEx4: RH’s attorney gives a lame excuse.

UPDATE x5: Appareently, the judge fined Righthaven $5,000 for misleading the court about their lawsuits. And, wait for it, Righthaven is going to appeal the fine. HAR!

UPDATE x6: Judge scolds Righthaven lawyer, adds another $32,000 judgment

Lifting Gun Bans on College Campuses

It is important. Just ask Amanda Collins.
Better yet, read what happened to her and the next victim after her.

She has a good head on her shoulders.

“I don’t understand why (the state) trusts good, responsible people to be able to have their firearm across the street, and as soon as they cross an arbitrary line, they somehow lose all reason and ability to be able to be competent with that responsibility. It makes no sense to me at all.”

I hope it stays there.

Proof of Union Bosses Keeping Members Where They Are

This truly a Piece Of Work In Progress, pun intended as that is also the blog’s name that holds the proof itself.

If you happen to be a member of any of those union organizations mentioned, I would be interested to read your comments about this.

Meet the Proposed Head of the ATF

Andrew Traver, from Chicago. Feel any safer? I don’t. Second time the POTUS has nominated him.

Michelle Malkin says it best:

Traver’s pending nomination hearing comes as Republican watchdogs Sen. Charles Grassley and Rep. Darrell Issa turn up the heat on the Obama administration’s stonewallers over Project Gunrunner. The State Department, Justice Department and ATF have failed to produce documents in a timely manner on a bloody initiative that has been tied to the deaths of at least two American law enforcement officials. Traver would be another go-along, get-along Chicago cog in the machine. Americans need someone who’ll strip the whitewash, not second-coat it.

Oh, and by the way, how about that war on drugs? Is it getting any better? Or worse? Who is better funded and capable?
Think it might be their toys?

And how about a new Secretary of State? Will it be Cass Sunstein’s wife? Color me unimpressed and a bit more concerned for our U.S. Constitution. Correction: a LOT more concerned.

UPDATE: Openly Transparent

That is, unless you are the designated “pool reporter”, Scott Powers, who was confined to a small closet for the bulk of the time during V.P. Biden’s Wednesday visit to the home of developer and philanthropist Alan Ginsburg.

So, this was not a demeaning, ill-conceived, false-imprisonment, unconstitutional and illegal confinement without due process?

UPDATE: More here.

Who ordered this? And let’s not forget the Veep’s photo op.

P.S. I do not approve comments filled with profanity.
