Tame Deficit By Raising Taxes

That is according to Paul Volker.
“If at the end of the day we need to raise taxes, we should raise taxes,” he said.

Really, Paul?

Here’s my question. Not to JUST you, but to Congress AND the Administration.
Remember the transparency promised concerning earmarks?
How about it? Don’t you agree that has to be curtailed? Minimized? Scrutinized for real worth? Denied in some or most cases? Just how much of a percentage of everything Congress spends is just earmarks? (Okay, that is a lot of questions. TRY ANSWERING THEM FOR ONCE.)

You seem to want to raise taxes just for taxes sake, Paul.

We do NOT need that, We do NOT WANT that.

We NEED you to STOP THE IRRESPONSIBLE AND EXCESSIVE SPENDING FIRST!!
Second, we need you to reduce the overblown budget.

UPDATE: Leading Indicators of Economic Disaster?

Large Corporations seem to already know what they have to do to remain solvent. Unfortunately, employees are not going to like it.

Not to mention the records-breaking national deficit.

Just remember those two words “deficit neutral.” Know what means? That both spending and savings would NOT CHANGE the deficit in any direction (up or down). Well, that can’t be happening now can it? Especially when the budget will force the US debt to soar to 90% of the GDP.

UPDATE: The radicals in Congress were not pleased that these corporations would go public with this devastating information. In response, democrats threatened to call for Congressional show trials to publicly humiliate these corporations.

Land Grab

And what, pray tell, is the reason for this?

More than a dozen pristine landscapes, wildlife habitats and scenic rivers in 11 Western states, some larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined, are under consideration by the Obama administration to become America’s newest National Monuments — a decision the administration can make unilaterally without local input or congressional approval.

Mikulski Now For Filibuster Reform

First, a little bit of history:

1997
Senate failed to end a Democratic filibuster designed to force direct votes on campaign finance legislation.

2006
Justice Alito Nomination (check here and here)

Now. Let’s look at WHY Senator Mikulski is now FOR filibuster reform.
2010
Bills approved under reconciliation cannot be blocked via filibuster and need just a bare 51-vote majority to win passage.

Both Maryland Senators are FOR a single payer healthcare system.

Ask yourself – what will become of YOUR current insurance carrier down the road.
And how long, or short, will that time be?

Cap And Trade May Be Changing

At least, that’s what these Senators say right now: Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) and Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.). They plan to introduce next month an alternative to the national version of the Cap and Trade bill by focusing on industrial sectors instead.

And yet, it won’t be easy to try to pass this alternative.

Like the Healthscare bill, this is not the time to be jacking up costs that will only be passed on to us, the consumers. The economy will still be negatively affected – with more being laid off every day. The current version, and this alternate, needs to be tabled.

How Much Our Government Spent

And we thought it wasn’t much.

Oh, wait … that’s what the Democrats claim.

Now where are we going to come up with the money? Hhhmm?

It is long past due to clean out Congress.

Anti-Business? Obama?

Well, … DUH !!!

Let’s not forget that the Democrat controlled Congress is going right over that same precipice.

Dems – The Land of Taxes

They just won’t stop spending.
They just won’t stop taxing.

Come November, they just won’t have a job anymore.
At least, that’s the Plan.

More Bad News Unplugged

You know those plugin hybrids you are waiting for? It will take close to 15 or 20 years to break even.

And couple that with the “Green Jobs” costs (the true costs) along with other, detrimental, budget-busting taxes, er – incentives, um oil price increases and whatnot.

Consumers, do you feel consumed yet?

Oil’s Good for Who?

China, apparently.

Thank Congress for giving China such a nice Christmas present, folks.

Remember to pull the levers, connect the dots, touch the display come 2010.
