No Explanation Necessary

Yet, the White House insists that Anthem Blue Cross in California answer to them for raising their rates. Excuse me, “justify” their rates. (Isn’t this supposed to be a free enterprise system? You know, let the market drive itself?)

If health care costs are going upwards, shouldn’t an insurance business adjust similarly? They cannot stay in business if they are not allowed to.

Let Michelle Malkin ‘splain it to us.

Rights To Terror Suspects?

Unbelievable. But Chris Hayes says that’s the case and “1,000% settled Law.”

First, this leftist’s math is bad. Second, he needs to prove this. Where, in the Constitution of the United States, does it say we apply Constitutional Rights to terrorists? Cite the location and verbage , Mr. Hayes. Show us. Third, terrorists shouldn’t even be on our soil when their intent is and has been to kill as many of us that they wish.

Caught In Passing

A Super Bowl moment frozen in time. Unintended consequence, I’m sure.

How Many More Are Innocent?

This is Radley Balko‘s question to a very important question. And is the title to a very well written article by him, posted at Reason.com.

This concerns wrongly convicted, innocent, people incarcerated for serious crimes. As of now, there have been at least 250 persons exonerated by DNA testing. Since 1989.

Could be more. It is very difficult to determine how many and how to determine.

Bye Bipartisanship

It appears that the Republicans have given a counter offer to the President’s Super Bowl interview with Katie Couric. Basically, we need to start over concerning health care insurance.

And now, the President, via Mr. Gibbs says no – we need to pass meaningful health insurance reform legislation.

My view: Since this started, there were 47 million folk uninsured. That figure is now held around 30 million. The overall population of the country is near 300 million.

With unemployment what it is and the economy in the condition that it is, why are we trying to change 90 percent of the population for the sake of the remaining ten percent? Why can’t we fix just the ten percent?????

To the Republicans in Congress, I advise – hold your ground. It shouldn’t take a bill (with more than 2,000 pages) to fix ten percent of the uninsured that may need health care insurance.
